Unveiling God’s Mystery: The Divine Invitation to Know and Become Like Him

"You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways." - Psalm 139:3

Will You Answer the Divine Invitation?
Living wisely requires acknowledging that God created everything to reveal Himself through Jesus. His revelation is an invitation for people to respond and become like Him. Grasping this truth is crucial, as merely appreciating the cross’s forgiveness overlooks its divine invitation.

God’s Emotional Atonement
The cross wasn’t just legal forgiveness; it showcased God’s desire. Paul revealed God’s will for the Colossians, emphasizing the emotional depth behind the atonement. The cosmos, a stage to reveal God, was marred by sin. Despite this, God suffered, choosing a fallen universe to make Himself known uniquely.

A Thunderous Invitation
If you read creation biblically, you’d hear God proclaim, “I want you to know Me.” His desire led Him to enter the cosmos through Jesus, transcendent yet intimately bound to creation. The cross wasn’t the end but a means to reveal the hidden parts of God. Psalm 139 becomes an invitation to search out the Divine Person.

God’s Desire to be Known
God delights in knowing you intimately. While you enjoy His pursuit, Psalm 139 invites you to reciprocate. Recognize that your desire to be known mirrors God’s, who endured a humiliating execution. He searched you out when you resisted Him; will you seek Him now as your Savior?

The Fullness of God in His Son
In Jesus, the fullness of God dwells, reconciling you to Him. Do you seek reconciliation with eternal life, or do you desire Him? The cross’s price—thousands of years, the fall’s tragedy—reveals God’s profound desire for companionship.

The Gruesome Price Paid
God’s suffering surpasses ours. The cross, a graphic revelation, demonstrates His enduring pain. He chose to suffer, submitting to rage, disfigurement, and rejection. His suffering isn’t confined to the cross; it spans every moment of this fallen age.

Delighting in Human Flesh
God willingly dwells in human flesh, finding joy in giving Himself for His creation. His joy, incomprehensible to us, is expressed in pouring out His Spirit. The heart of the divine mystery lies in Jesus, not in secret plans but in God’s revelation through suffering.

Jesus: God’s Mystery Revealed
Jesus is God’s mystery, revealed through incarnation in a cosmos. The revelation requires spectators, and through the Spirit, they become part of the mystery. As the Spirit dwells in believers, they reflect the Divine Human, becoming an image of God’s mystery.

This Age: God’s Great Invitation
God meticulously constructed this age, including angels, rebels, and humanity, to know and become like Him. The age stands as God’s grand invitation, asking, “Do you want to really know Me and become like Me?”

Conclusion: Embracing the Invitation
The divine invitation resonates through the ages, calling humanity to know and become like God. Psalm 139 invites us to search out the hidden parts of the Divine Person. Understanding the depth of God’s desire revealed through the cross transforms our perception of suffering. The mystery of God, unveiled in Jesus, beckons us to respond to His invitation in this age. Will you answer, seeking to truly know God and become a reflection of His divine mystery? The choice is yours, as God’s grand invitation echoes through time, inviting you to a profound journey of discovery and transformation.
